Mars Hill Church is doing something really cool and innovative as part of their Sunday sermons. During the sermon, people from the congregation are able to text their questions to the pastor, Mark Driscoll, so that at the end of the sermon, the pastor can receive the text messages and answer. His answers are on the spot, raw and spontaneous. This is a great way for the sermon to be interactive and to encourage people to actively listen and to think about what is being taught. Mark Driscoll does a great job answering the questions as well. Check out a few of these Q&A sessions :

Flash Player
We've received some comments regarding how we handle external media such as mp3 files or youtube links. So, we've put together a flash player module that allows people to hear the media while on our page instead of having to go to another site.
It's not pretty, but we are working on it.

Reface
We decided to change some things around. Noticing the trend of asking people to type out their thoughts seem to be time consuming and too personal for many people to do that. As of the new year, we've switched it around and allow people to able to submit news articles, sermon messages and worship songs.
People are still encouraged to share and discuss. On top of that, the site focuses on prayers, especially prayers for what's happening in the world through news! When we hear news of what's happening in the world, least we can do as Christians is to pray for our neighbours, yea?
